Using CT scans (yes, really) to dissect 1 of maybe only 400,000 released pairs of the “Big Bubble,” we replicated the Nike Air unit and window used in the ’86 original, so you can step on the bedrock of sneaker history.
This pair the colorway echoes the silhouette’s OG look, with red painting the upper’s mudguard, Swoosh, and topmost eyelets. The rest of the construction indulges entirely in neutrals: the mesh inserts proffer a bleached white, matching the midsole as well as the laces, while the suede overlays opt for a light grey.
